Cant believe my baby is 21!<br />
<br />
First up here are a few shots of the High Tea decorations I made:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6rdJwSDJmc7EPDieB9kaLx5N-FGZOlmedGmrDqbzVhTJ_YWHbm27SdtvoiAUcVkXbhkRbqV7Znntq3iPNPdMm81tL9IJhi-lAis0Wq1NKeggrv5N6L37dpOjD4SUooWs7p6wQvlMixLZs/s1600/10386378_10152700369455851_8085818170062882734_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6rdJwSDJmc7EPDieB9kaLx5N-FGZOlmedGmrDqbzVhTJ_YWHbm27SdtvoiAUcVkXbhkRbqV7Znntq3iPNPdMm81tL9IJhi-lAis0Wq1NKeggrv5N6L37dpOjD4SUooWs7p6wQvlMixLZs/s1600/10386378_10152700369455851_8085818170062882734_n.jpg" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxDbOEpTrwNGgbNp22PO8RfJ4nIT8wvPZrLSVvs9uj4mBd__w0mC7t0JkXU1U03-WCyKUhinEd2lLRWO843D6zof-b856UDgyIh9WrSbCmjlbaM96MVz536X_IdK8Xk4rgrjogMCliNHnZ/s1600/10629565_10152700369335851_5385608932154780515_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxDbOEpTrwNGgbNp22PO8RfJ4nIT8wvPZrLSVvs9uj4mBd__w0mC7t0JkXU1U03-WCyKUhinEd2lLRWO843D6zof-b856UDgyIh9WrSbCmjlbaM96MVz536X_IdK8Xk4rgrjogMCliNHnZ/s1600/10629565_10152700369335851_5385608932154780515_n.jpg" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
My cuttlebug was working overtime making lolly bags, bunting and banners, menu's etc. The colour theme was apricot, grey and white. We also used some of the bunting and design from the lolly bags to make thank you cards afterward.<br />
<br />
And here is the card I made for Sarah. This is the first exploding box card I have made and I just loved creating it. The top layer of the cake is velcroed on so you can remove it to turn the battery operated tea light on and off. You can see in some of the pics the tea light is on and some it's off. All the papers were those we used for the High Tea decorating and from Kaisercraft! <br />

We have had a few birthdays this month and a work colleagues granddaughters arrival to celebrate and here are the cards I created to pass on my love and best wishes.<br />
<br />
<h2>
<span style="font-size: large;"><u>My Great Nephew's 4th Birthday Card</u></span></h2>
My gorgeous Great Nephew turned four last week and he loves TMNT so when I saw cards similar to this on Pinterest I knew I had to create one of my own specially for this adorable little man.<br />
<br />
I also used my envelope punch board to create a matching box style envelope. The papers were from My Minds Eye and I used punches, Marianne Creatable dies, Reverse Confetti dies and MFT dies to create the embellishments.<br />
<br />

August begins with two special birthdays in our family - my mother-in-law and my niece. I had made these cards a few weeks back but didn't want to share them until the birthday girls had them and opened them on their birthday - August 2nd.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
First up I made yet another card in a box for my mother-in-law for her 75th birthday. I found the very cute miniature bird at one of my fav scrapbooking store - Paper Squared in Mornington and knew I had to find a way to use it on her card.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-xG3uY2wOLxkY3cZLAbBuTeLT7e238ZmChjrF92mgPlInoCgwhSxnBaNUEPdjHLnyEZk7imFS3JImN1jyWr5I7gnEQJSTKwrsTUyMYk2tVXnBEmwU7llhtUicH_iFUYgGX37y-bKcSG4s/s1600/Image1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-xG3uY2wOLxkY3cZLAbBuTeLT7e238ZmChjrF92mgPlInoCgwhSxnBaNUEPdjHLnyEZk7imFS3JImN1jyWr5I7gnEQJSTKwrsTUyMYk2tVXnBEmwU7llhtUicH_iFUYgGX37y-bKcSG4s/s1600/Image1.jpg" height="320" width="264" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I started with the box - a flat white box which I decorated with the gorgeous PION design papers I also bought,</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I continued with the MFT birdhouse theme for this card similar to the one I made and shared in my last post.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgC37FPkX8YGzpb3tzbuiIr3Rbsdahc44jct8wNV6LH2ybzEG3fBwUpjNkZCHn4-SU7MyHDWFDN_5bveEQIW5-zHfPRTIiGYLiYx_VHBLuzgaVfmWOsCz6Ud-w97JTmfydMi2_co5Gc-VxS/s1600/Image3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgC37FPkX8YGzpb3tzbuiIr3Rbsdahc44jct8wNV6LH2ybzEG3fBwUpjNkZCHn4-SU7MyHDWFDN_5bveEQIW5-zHfPRTIiGYLiYx_VHBLuzgaVfmWOsCz6Ud-w97JTmfydMi2_co5Gc-VxS/s1600/Image3.jpg" height="320" width="273" /></a></div>
<br />
This time however I wanted to incpoporate some rolled flowers and ofcourse the cute little bird.<br />

The next card I created I used my </div>

also newly purchased WERMK Envelope punch board. Normally I don't lots of tools or gadgets but I had been continually asking myself if I should get this one an after looking on Pinterest at the awesome creations people came up with I went ahead and purchased one. Not only can you make interesting and customised envelopes you can also use it to create boxes, card bases, bows, pouches ............ the list goes on. So for this project I used it to create my nieces card and envelope.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The card is a match box style card with pop up inserts and the envelope was more like a box so it could safely house the match box card inside.</div>

But just before the big pack up I managed to get in there and play with some paper and dies.<br />
<br />
I have seen a lot of "Cards in a Box" designed by some talented Stampin Up ladies on Pintrest and on You Tube. So I decided to have a go at creating some of my own for some special birthdays.<br />
<br />
The actual process of creating the card base was so easy and then the fun really starts with the embellishment and theming. Can I say I think I am addicted and can't wait to get back into my refurbished craft studio to make some more.<br />
<br />
So here is what I created:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihVbuhHpnyoGBQQEzBQxOJn4gg1zIN9Zc_bU64HM8JtaRWLZ-rIZ7PA8UppFg_B781xzzMS_qXYSkMGYixL3Jc_2fTLwiZeKbIklBKbrXmony72gi39QvSrRBPzQ9iT17fV6iz_uTI-wkR/s1600/Image12.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihVbuhHpnyoGBQQEzBQxOJn4gg1zIN9Zc_bU64HM8JtaRWLZ-rIZ7PA8UppFg_B781xzzMS_qXYSkMGYixL3Jc_2fTLwiZeKbIklBKbrXmony72gi39QvSrRBPzQ9iT17fV6iz_uTI-wkR/s1600/Image12.jpg" height="208" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The debut card was for gorgeous Great Niece for her first birthday and the second and slightly larger one was for my dear friend Angie for her 50th.<br />
<br />
I must say I did like the slightly larger version as I had a little more area to work with and could incorporate some larger die cut elements.<br />
<br />
So here are some close ups of the two cards:<br />
<br />
<h2>
Elsie's 1st Birthday</h2>

I am back today to share another card created using embossing paste. I just love using this product as I tallows me to incorporate an added dimension to my cards.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXF0POBOLurbi7Dn2dqu7PePNe1EUcgsZ765WFHweMTLASEQfcImCeRBnVuXtbr3ktk5tmQY1A_74NDidfH3su5aTAfgrLOQqLSXhC1yUmsvUK7uZA9NDyk5SGYA08GEce3UmKxFVREL0O/s1600/Image2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXF0POBOLurbi7Dn2dqu7PePNe1EUcgsZ765WFHweMTLASEQfcImCeRBnVuXtbr3ktk5tmQY1A_74NDidfH3su5aTAfgrLOQqLSXhC1yUmsvUK7uZA9NDyk5SGYA08GEce3UmKxFVREL0O/s1600/Image2.jpg" height="400" width="331" /></a></div>
<br />
For this card I used Wendi Vecci White Embossing Paste and an MFT Stencil.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The flower was the smallest royal rolled rose and I teamed it up with the bitty tag from their blueprints 6. I also used two of their delicate doilies (one of my newest purchases which I know I will use over and over again - they are so cute). The heart, leaves and circle were all made with MS punches and the word love was an MFT die. I added some buttons, washi tape and a teeny peg. The word with was from a sticker collection by Authetique. The papers were from the Authetique Flourish Collection. I love the 6x6 paper pad from the collection - the colours and patterns are so soft but bold in parts too. Love the colour scheme of the collection - greys, mustard, pinks and green. </div>

<br />
The product I used was Studio 40 Wendy Vecchi Embossing/Texture Paste - Crackle Finish.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXYB-4zXAt18sl4R2xIeFKzKBaQftliUMs5HsJYeTk8grxDA570gqjf9EFdQWhNJ__RcaXf7zC9DXkMixr5PK-qmKDF0WRmnVSYGpsP4qlpYp769YMLnSj_ZGADej4_QJiNFovliiVCODz/s1600/499993961038.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXYB-4zXAt18sl4R2xIeFKzKBaQftliUMs5HsJYeTk8grxDA570gqjf9EFdQWhNJ__RcaXf7zC9DXkMixr5PK-qmKDF0WRmnVSYGpsP4qlpYp769YMLnSj_ZGADej4_QJiNFovliiVCODz/s1600/499993961038.jpg" /></a></div>
And I drew some sketch inspiration from one of my favourite card makers - <a href="http://pickledpaperdesigns.blogspot.com.au/">Amy Sheffer</a>This was the card she created - <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgM0AUmtPaONbien2_Frf3jF__u54tdZb-wqQ_vDFuhP8wQpqy0MpLtlMkfmghCpVVfizlE4z9h09zZeXWRGwGthpLLqnOEe7er1i0I4c_2aj64kgll9pOl5icEGICt-WbYH6aq13tSd38/s1600/RCallaboutyou1A_aks.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgM0AUmtPaONbien2_Frf3jF__u54tdZb-wqQ_vDFuhP8wQpqy0MpLtlMkfmghCpVVfizlE4z9h09zZeXWRGwGthpLLqnOEe7er1i0I4c_2aj64kgll9pOl5icEGICt-WbYH6aq13tSd38/s200/RCallaboutyou1A_aks.jpg" width="175" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
You can see the post of her card - <a href="http://pickledpaperdesigns.blogspot.com.au/2014/03/reverse-confetti-march-release-blog-hop.html">here</a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And this is my card:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgi4ogZAsIMt624c278ymrxwMQBBqiQXHZY10mKXuUPdeiZkWGvO5MKv3CUpX_GUVGw0tZF3oIwsP8lFnyBKslQ-YOJcwYjxGPW2GugFwif7IwZCCQ37XiO6KvB7nRnr9h3KpeR2ePvd7C_/s1600/Image23.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgi4ogZAsIMt624c278ymrxwMQBBqiQXHZY10mKXuUPdeiZkWGvO5MKv3CUpX_GUVGw0tZF3oIwsP8lFnyBKslQ-YOJcwYjxGPW2GugFwif7IwZCCQ37XiO6KvB7nRnr9h3KpeR2ePvd7C_/s1600/Image23.jpg" height="320" width="234" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I loved Amy's clean design but decided to add my own touch of shabby chic to the card along the way.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Initially I used a prima stencil and the paste to create the background and whilst this was drying I set about creating the elements to layer on top. Some of you may have seen the post of this on my facebook page - A Little Bit of Shabby.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjv6RKGT_sbgG-xgqSCDnJDM__sbMp8RuhR7_q07TpsGQZhLRXHcRQ-B3N6Qa03w11coY1BTGol-DunmezFD4AJeriR86DSOyvVY5B8OAzZw2aloou4Z8uY43GRfDWPUaJILKVIhKw7U6pE/s1600/10252134_1492601770952091_5202260174208484398_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjv6RKGT_sbgG-xgqSCDnJDM__sbMp8RuhR7_q07TpsGQZhLRXHcRQ-B3N6Qa03w11coY1BTGol-DunmezFD4AJeriR86DSOyvVY5B8OAzZw2aloou4Z8uY43GRfDWPUaJILKVIhKw7U6pE/s1600/10252134_1492601770952091_5202260174208484398_n.jpg" height="320" width="234" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The paste was so easy to spread with a palette knife and dries really quickly. As it is crackle paste each chevron dries with a series of cracks and lumps through it which I loved!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I also added foam tape to some of the layers to add some dimension and allow the layering of the elements to stand out more clearly and spritzed on some Mr Hueys to add a random and subtle shine bit to the card.</div>

The other new product I played with today was my new <a href="http://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product.aspx?id=120892&c=0">Happy Sentiments die and stamps from Simon Says Stamp</a>. I just adore the fine die cut word and the accompanying stamps in the set. <br />

They often say the hardest decision is often one that sets you free and that seems to be true for me. Finishing teaching classes was not an easy decision and yet this week I found a new sense of freedom as I played in the craft room and could create something with whatever materials I wanted to play with.<br />
<br />
Inspired by the talented and lovely Bec at Scrappy Hollow and her recent explosion box creations (you can visit her blog - Scrap Fruition - <a href="http://beccym.blogspot.com.au/">here</a>) and some images from pinterest I set out to create one of my own. An explosion purse!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQKJNBhLfw1ynlV4a0vqQF-sLetdSSIfEEy9AJSJQ8oPfH6G43d8hC8FXh7r1_1khwcPgurrEV1rua6zgbpB6_OdtgYbODcINayccZ_ochIJnG0rsLrvw0LNhjRqMplVdzz6F6SuTGmutJ/s1600/SSS217+Image1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQKJNBhLfw1ynlV4a0vqQF-sLetdSSIfEEy9AJSJQ8oPfH6G43d8hC8FXh7r1_1khwcPgurrEV1rua6zgbpB6_OdtgYbODcINayccZ_ochIJnG0rsLrvw0LNhjRqMplVdzz6F6SuTGmutJ/s1600/SSS217+Image1.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
I also drew some inspiration from one of the MFT DT girls who has her own challenge running on her blog. I love Karens work on the MFT DT and thought it would be fun to play along. Karens Blog is called The Sweetest Thing and you can visit it <a href="http://kgiron.blogspot.com.au/">here</a>.<br />
<br />
This is her challenge for this week:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgyaefwJfBAuxjL-om4i2X3DNaHHLf3wHrLI2N3-t-Kn2SVrmp_xuPr1fU_x58OVeNK0tPME2p1163BzME7-P_myHB2gwSD8kUNBtRT4tv-hP8KYWETdW_e7mEAECa6qT84O0PbWP1I-RE/s1600/SSSC217.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgyaefwJfBAuxjL-om4i2X3DNaHHLf3wHrLI2N3-t-Kn2SVrmp_xuPr1fU_x58OVeNK0tPME2p1163BzME7-P_myHB2gwSD8kUNBtRT4tv-hP8KYWETdW_e7mEAECa6qT84O0PbWP1I-RE/s1600/SSSC217.jpg" height="320" width="293" /></a></div>
<br />
You can see the challenge post <a href="http://kgiron.blogspot.com.au/2014/04/sweet-sunday-sketch-challenge-217.html">here</a>.<br />
<br />
So the front of the purse has part of the sketch incorporated into it and then the full sketch was used inside.<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The papers were from MME Lost and Found Two and BasicGrey Hopscotch and I teamed it up with some Kaisercraft Cardstock.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
As usual I have used my <a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/die-namics">MFT die-namics</a> - just love them! The doily was made using the High Tea Doily die. The flowers were the Royal Rolled Roses which I surrounded by leaves and fronds punched with my MS punches. The tags were made from Well Worn Greetings and Sweet Stacks Label dies. The vellum pocket was made using the LLD 3x4 insert it pocket die. Words were made using the Lots of Love, Happy Birthday and LLD Little Letters. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I also used some Ranger Picket Fence distress stickles to add some sparkle to the words 'love' and 'Mothers'.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I had so much fun making this little purse so I cant wait to give it to my mum!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<br />
I would really like to thank everyone who has supported my paper crafting journey by attending my classes or purchasing a kit over the three years I have been teaching at the store. My decision to leave has not been an easy one and I know I will miss all of the lovely friends I have made along the way and hope we stay in touch through Facebook and this blog. I hope to return to participating in my favourite card challenges and share my paper crafting adventure further with you after a short break.<br />
<br />
So..... here is what we made this month!<br />

The papers were from the Prima Delight collection and we used the 6x6 paper pads. As usual we played with some of the awesome My Favorite Things die-namics:<br />

<br />
I have been having a bit of a break from card making but I had heaps of fun putting this set together for this lovely couple.<br />
<br />
I have mad a decorated gift box, gift card pocket and gift card. I must apologise for the photography - bit of a rush to take the pics to share and the photo booth is packed away as we are renovating the room it is normally set up in.<br />
<br />

<br />
Absolutely loved seeing some familiar friends and welcoming some new ones to classes at Scrappy Hollow.<br />
<br />
I also shared some news with the ladies that I will be leaving Scrappy Hollow at Easter time and April will be my last class. A sad decision I have not made lightly and I am sure I will miss the store team and cards ladies.<br />
<br />
Anyway enough sad news - lets move onto happy and bright cards!!!<br />

Here is what we made in our February class:<br />

The cards were inspired by love as February is the month of love. We used some of MFT's dies to create the elements on the card - MFT Stitched Heart, Dainty Bows, Peek-a-boo Trio, Fluttering Hearts, Insta Frame and the border from Blueprints 6. The Papers were from Crate Paper - Maggie Holmes Flea Market.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Next month we are playing with Kaisercrafts Confetti and of course some more dies. This time our theme will be Feathers and Chevrons and we will make feathers from washi tape, paper and dies. Play with different ways of using chevrons and may even sneak in some distressing. I am so overwhelmed with excitement and gratitude as my classes are quickly filling up this year and I am proud to say March is completely sold out!! Thank you for your support everyone!!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Here is a sneak peek of what we will be making in March. I have samples on display in the store.</div>

I love playing along with their sketches and this one is extra special as it's such a huge milestone for them.<br />
<br />
Speaking of milestones my daughter and most of her friends will be celebrating their 21st birthdays in 2014 so I thought I would use this sketch to begin my collection of 21st cards so they are ready for the parties and events that lay ahead this year,<br />
<br />
So here is the amazing and very cool 100th sketch from the girls at <a href="http://retrosketches.blogspot.com.au/">Retro Sketches</a> <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtHlcSzmhvdhrfXPIlDEd5y6RG32E9WMVI9sJiWlWy_xsx_KLpMjfQOCL5DjZS4D5zc9hnIhnWlFZMtDToEEBHnfQfOfzxQa2ZHzD1D3bgoiEMr3jSL1hylammfxPQ5r9eux1Bpb0N7wki/s1600/rs100.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtHlcSzmhvdhrfXPIlDEd5y6RG32E9WMVI9sJiWlWy_xsx_KLpMjfQOCL5DjZS4D5zc9hnIhnWlFZMtDToEEBHnfQfOfzxQa2ZHzD1D3bgoiEMr3jSL1hylammfxPQ5r9eux1Bpb0N7wki/s1600/rs100.jpg" height="256" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And this is the card I created from the sketch:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilU_HnhdN_bFDoBZXpdhgpKVtf8prUICxoqI5Ng46RQJS51KFjMLHgOdmPWl96Jlb3yaxhNX_MuH6NX32TgjMLGQO5RqwdZgwwD8Kby0stID2voruCpcygILjmg6xBB2b498iN54SUsjQi/s1600/Image2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilU_HnhdN_bFDoBZXpdhgpKVtf8prUICxoqI5Ng46RQJS51KFjMLHgOdmPWl96Jlb3yaxhNX_MuH6NX32TgjMLGQO5RqwdZgwwD8Kby0stID2voruCpcygILjmg6xBB2b498iN54SUsjQi/s1600/Image2.jpg" height="320" width="275" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I noticed that one of the guest DT cards had taken the main elements of the sketch but shrunk them so I thought I would do something similar and use the elements to create the central part of the card and then mount it a second time before putting it on the card.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcmuo5wSf0dt4T5zEqVNjkKdhBoUXSDwkPgx0qKokaUH5uVVkmZwx5Kd3BF-VFhAc2l9G9OJKu2cdyPLu32iVryvk9H2BoVwHRizlnQCX_xDpw1Z-QMaukQG0NyKnn4GrY_zN2GkJgiYq8/s1600/Image3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcmuo5wSf0dt4T5zEqVNjkKdhBoUXSDwkPgx0qKokaUH5uVVkmZwx5Kd3BF-VFhAc2l9G9OJKu2cdyPLu32iVryvk9H2BoVwHRizlnQCX_xDpw1Z-QMaukQG0NyKnn4GrY_zN2GkJgiYq8/s1600/Image3.jpg" height="320" width="257" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
My banner strips are sitting underneath a little pocket created with my new MFT die namics pocket treat die. This was topped off with a velum die cut butterfly once again from MFT die namics. The butterfly is a Mona Pendleton design and I just love the effect you get creating with vellum. I cut the base butterfly once and the patterned wing overlay twice. I have added some of me new Japanese twine firstly by tying the bow through the button then by scrunching some and putting it under the button.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdvqmBgd2ndTJEMl5bxgSp3iQbY6IMj35jhvKq0CpZazOv5TCp9HY9Lv7odo33mR512lrGC4LQdzszSGIStOGqQHEyaJ_CvPvEMT-eTX2zdBHJXw_2tGqhByRVMviRAwCgf_KF4DtoYAbI/s1600/Image5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdvqmBgd2ndTJEMl5bxgSp3iQbY6IMj35jhvKq0CpZazOv5TCp9HY9Lv7odo33mR512lrGC4LQdzszSGIStOGqQHEyaJ_CvPvEMT-eTX2zdBHJXw_2tGqhByRVMviRAwCgf_KF4DtoYAbI/s1600/Image5.jpg" height="255" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Inside the pocket was the tag I created by cutting the pocket die again and trimming it down.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCwzZ0JieCxFOKTI9rJAWn81BtFptfMi3T-8FlsaaDDaNA5xDdnRbuXOfpVJHCzVktbisUs13_QfGu3JNlEkzC8nnIHK6zFGvynErLpwDpk2VTMTYZB7pziBhk8U47MqsZRBPY0g7URJ-w/s1600/Image4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCwzZ0JieCxFOKTI9rJAWn81BtFptfMi3T-8FlsaaDDaNA5xDdnRbuXOfpVJHCzVktbisUs13_QfGu3JNlEkzC8nnIHK6zFGvynErLpwDpk2VTMTYZB7pziBhk8U47MqsZRBPY0g7URJ-w/s1600/Image4.jpg" height="320" width="243" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The little tag was finished off with a 21 cut from the MFT by the number die namics die, some pearls, punched heart, paper and a BBP rub on. The peg was from Typo and the colour just worked so well. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Papers were from Echo Parks Beautiful Life and Simple Stories.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

and yes it's me ALL OVER!!!<br />
<br />
I am still so in love with my new Maja Design Vintage Summer Collection paper pad that I have used it again for this card. Playing along with another challenge too made it all that much more fun.<br />
<br />
The lovely Jen at <a href="http://deconstructingjen.com/deconstructed-sketch-136/">The Deconstructed Sketch</a> challenge has put this challenge up<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
I decided to flip the sketch this week and here is the flipped sketch and the card I created:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The flower component of the sketch was replaced by one of my favourite double bows with a button and I added a pin to the bow as well.<span style="text-align: center;"> </span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It's a little hard to see in the pics but I have also used some of my new Japanese glittered twine. Its so fine, delicate and provides a hint of glitz. </div>

<br />
I always love to play along with the Retro Girls and I have discovered that <a href="http://snappystamper.blogspot.com.au/">Ariel</a> from the Retro Team also heads up and designs for<a href="http://colourq.blogspot.com.au/"> Colour Q</a> - a fabulous colour focused challenge blog. So I decided to paly along with them for my anniversary card.<br />
<br />
It just so happened that their challenge this week was focused on valentine/love and some gorgeous pink, kraft and white inspiration - perfect for a wedding anniversary card.<br />
<br />
So here is their inspiration:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiaTGCFetEClSY3cC_nAUeU9jLrBVrpXsHYa2Uj30y1jWDAwcPezRsSAwtH97FBkiveN_de-1xbO8nPVbh2NedAFfcdADBoguTgAs-pwBJ7hqRqMteeR1EJjVluV04T9rwITPHot2iE4sn0/s1600/cqc226.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiaTGCFetEClSY3cC_nAUeU9jLrBVrpXsHYa2Uj30y1jWDAwcPezRsSAwtH97FBkiveN_de-1xbO8nPVbh2NedAFfcdADBoguTgAs-pwBJ7hqRqMteeR1EJjVluV04T9rwITPHot2iE4sn0/s1600/cqc226.jpg" height="320" width="241" /></a></div>
<br />
And this is the card I created:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlRDRF5QpukoYoMhPkORH550cA_CgJ1YklXJvrJLZxElSNHGqLqAyELfMpw9khIbXYrSVlMRVc0lXUE0mwV-uBOF_68AzC2HtfGxpBhe6gki5-ENOy8vBusYxG_fLt5ap2Ogkw9SSC_cp0/s1600/cQc226a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlRDRF5QpukoYoMhPkORH550cA_CgJ1YklXJvrJLZxElSNHGqLqAyELfMpw9khIbXYrSVlMRVc0lXUE0mwV-uBOF_68AzC2HtfGxpBhe6gki5-ENOy8vBusYxG_fLt5ap2Ogkw9SSC_cp0/s1600/cQc226a.jpg" height="320" width="291" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I love the bold colours in the Colour Q challenge and think they give you a vibrant modern palette to create with. However, when creating my card I decided to use the most softest of hints of each of the Colour Q colours as I wanted my card to have a shabby chic feel so I picked out a paper selection that contained hints of kraft, pink and white and teamed it up with ivory cardstock and embellishments. I also inked parts of the card with TH distress ink to bring our more of the kraft colour. I also added some stitching in ivory thread around the edge of the main circle element and the horizontal banner.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
AlsoI have had to change my photography booth around during our house renovations soapologies if my photography and the colouring of the images is a little off. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The papers were from Maja Designs Vintage Summer Basics - I just love this collection!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbxerBdRj71KMP2qj9qeXffKKlKZEkUovZTGDUp_VWumUONg5gHlKhydjV9NSZyMakNgYqJ_3vQI1tsXcTuZ4-yClms6tRR6XS9bE7Y8jUKUpcKbXUr6GAZHNpbosdnNvGbg-KGLVqYwV5/s1600/cQc226b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbxerBdRj71KMP2qj9qeXffKKlKZEkUovZTGDUp_VWumUONg5gHlKhydjV9NSZyMakNgYqJ_3vQI1tsXcTuZ4-yClms6tRR6XS9bE7Y8jUKUpcKbXUr6GAZHNpbosdnNvGbg-KGLVqYwV5/s1600/cQc226b.jpg" height="245" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiG8BEiItrzu1Of8lyN7Z5d287tqf5UST1GBdJuFAtsmG3tAh3BqCXUkE2JHHgkOPmhvTb-Ry8dw_dc8kSoZxAiV-oSfQjr-hOr9UCzl6R_mxqGmDNB9BtEoUBSF1yukuX2VXtlRhF-v25t/s1600/cQc226c.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiG8BEiItrzu1Of8lyN7Z5d287tqf5UST1GBdJuFAtsmG3tAh3BqCXUkE2JHHgkOPmhvTb-Ry8dw_dc8kSoZxAiV-oSfQjr-hOr9UCzl6R_mxqGmDNB9BtEoUBSF1yukuX2VXtlRhF-v25t/s1600/cQc226c.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The embellished sections were created with some MFT die-namics, kaisercraft flowers, MS frond punch, pearls and some tiny stickers which I trimmed down to size. To highlight the 50 I got out my Gel Roll glitter pen and coloured them in.<br />
<br />
Thanks for stopping by!<br />

<br />
So firstly here is the sketch from the Retro Girls - <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXQ_R6GPvr9iwxY0a55ELT2YS8eVLZkQneTg9P4GaJ_76uj4ltPAY_20aN0k_oagJK7jJBra39SirNyS4MoIl6juP-cwZTnsEg_Y4k5CmC8HozoQ6Q1EG4srGeYFT3v_QAtT7fJcq6DDpd/s1600/rs99.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXQ_R6GPvr9iwxY0a55ELT2YS8eVLZkQneTg9P4GaJ_76uj4ltPAY_20aN0k_oagJK7jJBra39SirNyS4MoIl6juP-cwZTnsEg_Y4k5CmC8HozoQ6Q1EG4srGeYFT3v_QAtT7fJcq6DDpd/s1600/rs99.jpg" height="256" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
And this is the card I created:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiILcDhMB0633w_eYQOT9Mvi2NDNuc0EoL5vWJyi1eqQdcSuZpwj8H32Gkr9-JH2zUnZ9iAFWFEAfvx74aHJ8959c7meANWK9IZAgDfomgiwbyiXRcIU5L4Lv2sXrbnvlIQ_ZwVp82sGmgr/s1600/RS99+(2).jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiILcDhMB0633w_eYQOT9Mvi2NDNuc0EoL5vWJyi1eqQdcSuZpwj8H32Gkr9-JH2zUnZ9iAFWFEAfvx74aHJ8959c7meANWK9IZAgDfomgiwbyiXRcIU5L4Lv2sXrbnvlIQ_ZwVp82sGmgr/s1600/RS99+(2).jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
For my card I have made a few changes to the sketch - I have created a regular 4"x 6" card rather than the square, moved the sentiment and added a tab. <br />
<br />
I used one of my new favourite paper pads for this project - Kaisercraft Confetti and my latest absolute favourite die from MFT - their Feathers and Arrows die. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvJJ16Fk0AXa9rnKevK7s76WkxhQYkdQjRpa465EPFpIyT-ynxIzYXHHJ8WsGa5BKBUAQRHDAwsWdtPE-BYi7swIknyTiS87FQyYDASA7FcZnd26NRvxrn0FhrDGTWxnjlYnP3BtHPpyLz/s1600/RS99a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvJJ16Fk0AXa9rnKevK7s76WkxhQYkdQjRpa465EPFpIyT-ynxIzYXHHJ8WsGa5BKBUAQRHDAwsWdtPE-BYi7swIknyTiS87FQyYDASA7FcZnd26NRvxrn0FhrDGTWxnjlYnP3BtHPpyLz/s1600/RS99a.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Most of the embellished pieces were made from the paper pad embellishments or from trimming something down from the patterned paper in the pad. The button was tied with two strands of thread to provide a different look too. There is a little edge distressing and foam mounting on some elements to add some texture and dimension.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Spent a little time over the last two days playing in the craft studio again! I just love this weeks sketch from Jen over at <a href="http://deconstructingjen.com/ds135/">The Deconstructed Sketch Challenge</a> and I have also drawn inspiration this week from a new challenge blog that I am excited to be playing along with - <a href="http://thecardconcept.blogspot.ca/">The Card Concept</a>. </span></div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">The Card Concept is a really cool challenge blog as it encourages you to define what style of card you have made. This is a bi-weekly challenge where 12 talented designers showcase their creations based on the inspiration challenge posted and the design styles. They also give you an insight into what inspired them. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="line-height: 20px;"><br /></span></span>
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="line-height: 20px;"><strong style="font-family: inherit;">The styles are divided into 6 style themes:</strong></span></span></div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZYOnfErmma7wbN7MJVoKcZSYIq6Wy7FqzCLXEMdZcgtfef2xWW_l_i7D5zaNRpeNdtEedaXpVFQ_2VF32C1KhZyhbDbj-jARxlbHRnrhWMvVOEcXQl98rDA3yS5ylTS9e7WNyAMbx2pST/s1600/DS135+&+TCC2.jpg" height="294" width="320" /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">After reading The Card Concepts style descriptions I decided my card would probably best fit in their </span><u style="font-family: inherit;"><strong>Shabby Chic and Vintage </strong></u><span style="font-family: inherit;">style.</span><span style="font-family: inherit;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;">
</span>
<br />
<div>
</div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">
</span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Here is how they define the style: </span></div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">
</span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">•the use of used, worn or inexpensive components to make stylish goods<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">
</span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">•distressed or sponged edges<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">
</span>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">•old feel-antiqued<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
•lots of embellishments<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
•ribbons or lace<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
•lots of layers</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">The layering was taken care of by the amazing sketch. I love my edge distressor and tea dye ink pad so that got a tick too. Embellishments, ribbons and lace were all left overs or quickly made from fabric, co-ordinating paper etc. So I hope I have made a wise choice here.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">

<span style="font-family: inherit;">To give the card a bit of an older feel (as I had picked papers that were a little more modern) I printed the image onto textured cardstock. I absolutely love their products and designs and I am really looking forward to sharing the cards I create. <br />
<br />
My addiction to MFT die-namics and to Jillibean Soup is a little extra special as I was lucky enough to work with one of their talented designers when I lived in the US - Laina Lamb. So I love seeing what she creates and designs and then I get to play with them too! She is so talented so stop by her blog and take a look! <a href="http://lainalambdesign.com/wordpress/">Click here!</a><br />
<br />
So for my first card I stopped by one of my favourite sketch challenge blogs - <a href="http://retrosketches.blogspot.com.au/">Retro Sketches</a>. So here is their sketch:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQrTGy_3CkBThqSb1HlooYQboENfDhfzQLv8QFZ_S1Jg15CSXAYR5bXqRqe-PEyI88U1R68t0HxIFXpeh_OGlgWITS01MrMZM6NKSgrby0iw2UaCqx6sFaJKPk6VGC4XPER5CzFS_hztiG/s1600/rs98.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQrTGy_3CkBThqSb1HlooYQboENfDhfzQLv8QFZ_S1Jg15CSXAYR5bXqRqe-PEyI88U1R68t0HxIFXpeh_OGlgWITS01MrMZM6NKSgrby0iw2UaCqx6sFaJKPk6VGC4XPER5CzFS_hztiG/s1600/rs98.jpg" height="256" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And here is the card I created:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxx0S7LHiahj9FO0QzpVeZ3HjgiAQP8h5Vn-7OigzqYZPStEKlChciFMtzG8wcP38CsY7mIm8S24kExkkN6dXoaOa06KGaQyNYtiIYc6vP44Cl09FqOfTgn8cMB8t5dj0hix1IMAxQrI0z/s1600/RS98b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxx0S7LHiahj9FO0QzpVeZ3HjgiAQP8h5Vn-7OigzqYZPStEKlChciFMtzG8wcP38CsY7mIm8S24kExkkN6dXoaOa06KGaQyNYtiIYc6vP44Cl09FqOfTgn8cMB8t5dj0hix1IMAxQrI0z/s1600/RS98b.jpg" height="236" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I decided to flip the sketch upside down and move the embellishment a little while still trying to keep true to the overall sketch.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The papers were from the <a href="http://jillibeansoup.typepad.com/thecardkitchen/past-kits.html">Jillibean Card Kitchen December Kit</a> which featured their Cold Avocado Soup collection. I also used some of their Pea Pod Parts, my MFT Blueprints 3 and a Carl leaf punch. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXP3iwprFfnk1coXtZrN7UmeRZNiwSSNCMnfREcLCPHyACOjSuYYyExV9lhuxZv8I758dpke5fMoE8Gciu2wkryxpzRpco3qkynQe_gWWBXz72YVow-XH25RE3QTH37TLaVyStCoZS1Nbd/s1600/RS98c.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXP3iwprFfnk1coXtZrN7UmeRZNiwSSNCMnfREcLCPHyACOjSuYYyExV9lhuxZv8I758dpke5fMoE8Gciu2wkryxpzRpco3qkynQe_gWWBXz72YVow-XH25RE3QTH37TLaVyStCoZS1Nbd/s1600/RS98c.jpg" height="320" width="216" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The flower was cut from MFT's gorgeous felt (love working with it!) and I added some stitching too!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look at my card!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

This time I decided to play along with the lovely girls over at Retro Sketches. I just love the sketches they put up each week - they are the perfect springboard to get me started.<br />
<br />
Here is the sketch from the girls:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmXNQ3p8t4QUje1OOij0CZlA1TNSA0_q8EazSskxIqrWYJb3Ebz745FePO5Vftelab4VR8sOK8NXuPFFGffbOjfcn2OSmc4XbBntEELOcbVTl2UQqaJPDL_Wy81P8wvFZ6WkLj7QHVXOiB/s1600/rs97.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmXNQ3p8t4QUje1OOij0CZlA1TNSA0_q8EazSskxIqrWYJb3Ebz745FePO5Vftelab4VR8sOK8NXuPFFGffbOjfcn2OSmc4XbBntEELOcbVTl2UQqaJPDL_Wy81P8wvFZ6WkLj7QHVXOiB/s1600/rs97.jpg" height="256" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And this is the card I created:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZXXUF7gm984xtOf1E9ItJCc2_6_0sys7g0fnmmKcSzpZ5DIAlWeqZWoSsC2c0KtQRakWPU6_3Sfd5AkK3SmzPXgzhNauO5NBq1cuTaMwkmRAKQ3VQ_-obBX_aQ96b22eOGOg_LqCkYR30/s1600/RS97a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZXXUF7gm984xtOf1E9ItJCc2_6_0sys7g0fnmmKcSzpZ5DIAlWeqZWoSsC2c0KtQRakWPU6_3Sfd5AkK3SmzPXgzhNauO5NBq1cuTaMwkmRAKQ3VQ_-obBX_aQ96b22eOGOg_LqCkYR30/s1600/RS97a.jpg" height="246" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
The papers for this card were from Carta Bella - Rough and Tumble. I love the mix of the papers in this collection as they lend themselves to masculine and little boy cards so well.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiq42g7LRGiffO8Na5_ZS9UfCsIHvRn8pHKzjtdgP672Ln3wIcM6yE0fQPr7l0XW3emJkhodogyDRhsuP-sOw-DEBqw4vt6N6aO-3bhkpKFlWy18jzk1LniCmUtY_hoKh-IZYV4meqQgFyP/s1600/RS97d.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiq42g7LRGiffO8Na5_ZS9UfCsIHvRn8pHKzjtdgP672Ln3wIcM6yE0fQPr7l0XW3emJkhodogyDRhsuP-sOw-DEBqw4vt6N6aO-3bhkpKFlWy18jzk1LniCmUtY_hoKh-IZYV4meqQgFyP/s1600/RS97d.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirTb0mQAw2sASEl0OWuI-3IM5u1Zb4cadlYqjYoxLKgmFRnr0scXOSYLbRDPCb7EXlhGEIJvL71gK9IdeGY3jdAjbIs7LqDYKHmqtS2GXsLFkDwVyedkjSCJcgKXf-XGvvyrA1LqMayucR/s1600/RS97c.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirTb0mQAw2sASEl0OWuI-3IM5u1Zb4cadlYqjYoxLKgmFRnr0scXOSYLbRDPCb7EXlhGEIJvL71gK9IdeGY3jdAjbIs7LqDYKHmqtS2GXsLFkDwVyedkjSCJcgKXf-XGvvyrA1LqMayucR/s1600/RS97c.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
As usual I grabbed out my MFT dies. I broke open one my brand new January release favourites - the Distressed Hearts Frame and teamed it up with one of my all time favourite go to dies for male cards - the stacking stars.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5J0Iw1SnG2juK2WC3ZZnImX9COYMsOopGPUP1kqrQTREgYddXs_yle9kNuypFsRGyqMNATlMLNwlU_fq2LIJABNR7y_U673iS8GQyIDplsiKJv46fIkgFRhJmyvTNaoCCagq5cHXknUYk/s1600/RS97b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5J0Iw1SnG2juK2WC3ZZnImX9COYMsOopGPUP1kqrQTREgYddXs_yle9kNuypFsRGyqMNATlMLNwlU_fq2LIJABNR7y_U673iS8GQyIDplsiKJv46fIkgFRhJmyvTNaoCCagq5cHXknUYk/s1600/RS97b.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The stamp I used was from MFT as well and I used the Weathered Wood Tim Holtz distress pad to shabby up the sentiment. I also used a bit of his tea dye ink around the other elements on the card as well.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhENUsdAT_xMb0oUUf5UzmFmrrzTv0jp9ScMMu6yZ7XAaK0Qe8uhgqgnI0N-wiQpfmNf6StWlXwkdVrkmXtL0WbJY3eNTTfeszHZLYX0-ItMkqG_sEeSm6O49MXEV54m2U6-_nSn6ODLl4D/s1600/RS97e.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhENUsdAT_xMb0oUUf5UzmFmrrzTv0jp9ScMMu6yZ7XAaK0Qe8uhgqgnI0N-wiQpfmNf6StWlXwkdVrkmXtL0WbJY3eNTTfeszHZLYX0-ItMkqG_sEeSm6O49MXEV54m2U6-_nSn6ODLl4D/s1600/RS97e.jpg" height="225" width="320" /></a></div>

<br />
The lovely <a href="http://deconstructingjen.com/" target="_blank">Jen Schuls</a> from <a href="http://deconstructingjen.com/category/the-deconstructed-sketch/" target="_blank">The Deconstructed Sketch</a> challenge blog previewed the next sketch on facebook today and I absolutely love it! I also popped back to the newly found (for me) and fun Simon <a href="http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/" target="_blank">Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge</a> blog and loved the challege they have posted so I am playing along with both today.<br />
<br />
Here are the challenges:<br />
<br />
<b><u><span style="font-size: large;">The Deconstructed Sketch:</span></u></b><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Thanks for the awesome sketch inspiration Jen!</div>
<br />

The embossed elements were embossed in two different ways. The scrap of yellow and the pink insert-it piece were embossed with the dots coming upward and I sanded them to enhance the pattern. The large yellow piece was embossed in reverse so the dots sank back into the card. </div>
